We ate at this place last time we were in Calabria, 7 years ago. It was so good we couldn’t wait to go back. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. The menu has changed a bit. A few items we like have been removed, like the risotto ai funghi porcini and the scaloppini but we were happy to try other options. We ordered the house appetizer, but it was underwhelming. The deli meats were just ok. The only really good part of the appetizer was the fresh ricotta. I wish it were larger. We also ordered a side of fried porcini mushrooms as a second appetizer. This was also disappointing. We had it during our previous visit but found that this time the serving size was much smaller, the mushrooms were sliced much thinner and we could barely taste the mushroom since it was overwhelmed by the breading. For our mains, we ordered the tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms and the tagliata di vitello alle porcini (veal with porcini mushrooms). Both were disappointing. The pasta was very tough and the mushrooms very watery. The veal was mostly tender but contained a lot of grizzle. We left without trying the dessert. Overall, I would say the meal was just ok. Nothing to go back for.
WOW. This place was really amazing. I had heard great things about it but my experience went beyond. The place is quiet, peaceful, big, with indoor and outdoor sitting, and with a great panoramic view. The servers were polite and kind, knowledgable and ready to suggest things for the indicisive ones me). We had antipasti, first and second course for a very affordable price <25/person). The food was very tasty and in perfect quantity. My favorite little part was the fresh ricotta which I mixed with the pepper mermelade they offer and it tasted so GOOD! Not to mention the capicollo e and the zucchine flower fried cakes. I would come back to Calabria just to eat this and I would recommend it to infinity. I am very satisfied. Obviously)
La loro specialità è la carne servita al tavolo sulla piastra calda, il menu offre anche antipasti,primi e pietanze a base di stocco. Prezzi nella norma. Servizio veloce. Consigliato
Più che una recensione, questo è un appello, frutto da un lato dell'affetto che nutro per questo locale immerso in un contesto bucolico, dall'altro del fatto che diversi amici mandati lì a mangiare hanno riscontrato le stesse problematiche riscontrate in prima persona.Vengo a pranzo da voi in estate almeno una volta all'anno da oltre anni. Forse È sempre andato tutto alla grande. Le mangiate però, hanno nascosto due sgradite sorprese tolto un ragazzo che lavora lì da una vita, simpaticissimo e professionale, il personale nuovo sembrava allo sbaraglio, tra richieste ignorate, una mascherina abbassata di una ragazza e atteggiamento sgorbutico servire tavolate (grandi e piccole) arrivate dopo perchè in evidente rapporto di amicizia con i titolari non è cosa carina dimenticarsi arbitrariamente (vedi sopra) l'assaggio di benvenuto, soprattutto con clienti che ogni anno comprano decine di barattoli di marmellata di peperoncino, è altrettanto poco carino.Vi prego, non cascate sulle cose più semplici.
