Pricewise, it looks expensive $16.00 for a hamburger, $18.00 for a chicken salad, but these are the average prices we found in Mammoth and the servings are SO huge the ducks can be easily divided and you still have food left. I really enjoyed it and would go back.
No one was paying attention, we had to keep looking for anyone to ask anything, place order, get the check. At one point I think they forgot to get our order out. We ordered the salmon and when we asked after waiting about 30 mins, we were told that it takes long time to prepare that dish. When it was finally server to us, it wasn?t seasoned well, whatever glaze was on it did not taste good, mashed potatoes were meh
Great place for dinner if you enjoy good BBQ. Group went late in the evening. Not crowded. Drink variety was nice. The Smokeyard coffee was a nice warming touch to dinner. The pulled pork and tri tip sandwiches were some of the best we've had. The meat was well cooked and seasoned. The sauce did not overpower the meal. The fries were crispy! Server was kind and made nice conversation with the group.
Service was fast, server Maria was great. The rack of ribs were way over cooked, tough and chewy. Broccoli was cold, we had it returned to the kitchen. For the price they should be pricing amazing food.
This place was nice, and the service was good but there was nothing special about the food. My family and i ordered chicken wings that were okay. Ribs that were okay, salmon that was okay and brussel sprouts that were about as plain as could be. My problem with this place is that everything was very plain. The ribs were not bad but they were not great. I spent more than 10 years working in the restaurant industry, for the majority of the time as a restaurant manager and the problem I have with restaurants like this one is the lack of passion for food. The brussel sprouts are a perfect example. Brussel sprouts can be delicious prepared in so many ways. But what we got was plain sprouts with no seasoning. They had just been softened in a skillet and slightly burnt. There was no salt, no pepper, nothing to bring out the flavor. It would be an easy fix for anyone who has passion for food, but Food was just put out for consumption with no care of how it tasted. And that was the case for all the food. Everything was just okay. Not bad, but fine. It has the potential to be a great place and I will probably go back when I'm in the area to give it another shot. But overall it was just okay.
