Art Basil - Manalapan

This Restaurant is across the street from the hotel we visited. I had steak, husband had the beggars purse and kids had pizza- everything was delicious! We ate inside because it was too hot out. The waiter, Fernando, was the best, very accommodating and the artwork inside was so cool. Very chill place- we will be back again, thanks for a great dinner! Service: Dine in

Amazing place to eat. took my family here no complaints

I ate at Art Basil tonight with my adult granddaughter and we thoroughly enjoyed our aranccini. Margherita pizza and canoli. The hostess was warm friendly and our server Ashley was outstanding in every way. The owner came by to check on us and was very pleasant. We loved the decor and paintings, the white tablecloths, and I was very pleased in every way with my prior pasta meals as well. Their marinara sauce is delicious. Parking is easy and prices are fair. I highly recommend Art Basil.

The atmosphere is vibrant and enjoyable, especially with the outdoor seating on a cooler evening. However, I can't say much good about the food. Both my friend and I tried the Sausage and Broccoli Rabe, but we had to send it back due to the excessive saltiness of the broccoli and the rather bland sausage. I then opted for the Sicilian Style Wings, but unfortunately, they also fell short in flavor and were under-seasoned. The service was excellent; I just wish the food had matched that quality. I strongly advise against visiting this restaurant if you value honesty and integrity, or if you expect a place that won’t penalize you for requesting food to be cooked more thoroughly. I ordered a pizza that arrived undercooked, with the cheese barely melted. When I asked the server to have it cooked longer, I didn’t receive a warm response. After waiting twenty minutes, I politely inquired about my pizza and was met with disdain for even asking. An additional twenty minutes later—forty minutes since I initially sent the pizza back—the server told me that the cook had been attempting to fix it but would now just make me a completely new one. By then, my dining companions had already finished their meals 15 to 20 minutes prior. It felt like they were punishing me for wanting my pizza properly prepared. I ended up asking for the check as this was easily one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had, which I conveyed to my server, who claimed to be the manager. While bad food and service can sometimes be understood, outright punishing customers for simply asking for their meal to be cooked properly is utterly unacceptable.
