Bidra med feedbackI experienced food poisoning from this food truck and cannot recommend it. I suffered severe stomach pain and diarrhea, and I felt absolutely terrible.
Terrible experience! This past weekend, I was with my family and we ordered a consomme that was way too salty. The aguas frescas, which were supposed to be refreshing, weren't even cold. This will be the last time I visit this place.
The practice of recollecting and reusing the small salads or whatever they serve on each table is not only disgusting but also unacceptable. Many times, these salads are eaten straight from the bowl, and the staff seems indifferent to this. We are in the midst of a pandemic, and it's clear that they don't prioritize safety. I witnessed them collecting these salads, putting them back in the fridge next to the counter, refilling them from one another, and then placing them back on the tables. Health Department, where are you?
I’ve been coming to this taco spot outside of Englishtown Auction for over 10 years. The food is amazing and truly authentic. There are multiple generations of the same family working here. Yeah, the kids that serve are young and it is probably their first job ever. This isn’t McDonald’s, take you time when you come here. It’s very busy for a reason. Find a spot where you can and sit with strangers if there’s a spot. Everyone is friendly. I always order lengua, chorizo (the best I’ve ever had) and pancita rellena tacos, if they are available and haven’t sold out already. It’s just a really nice family serving food better than any other taco place around. Also, the tamales are great too. I add some salsa rojo that is on each table. I’m planning my next visit as I write this. Visit this spot, you won’t regret it.
