Gaucho - Manchester

Eat well, but not excellent and certainly overpriced. Interior decoration dated and worn, in bad taste, chairs not high enough for the tables, foods are not available from order and menu items. Toilets really not expected the standard, actually quite rough. That wouldn't bother, much better... restaurants nearby.

Weekend lunchtime and the restaurant was relatively quiet, but the combination of great food and service made for a truly excellent dining experience.

Excellent service since the moment we walked into the door, from the reception staff to our lovely waitress, Laura, who gave us an amazing experience and took care of us in every moment. Food is really tasty, and for the dessert I highly recommend the...dulce de leche cheesecake. Will be back soon!

Attended a meal on Boxing Day and although the food was good (what little there was) and the waitress was very nice, I was disappointed to be charged £16 for a glass of house red wine, and then on top of the expensively priced food,...was charged a compulsory service charge too. I thought a tip was once based on the level of service recieved, not a way to fleece more money from you regardless. Once the food was served, no one came near to ask if we needed anything or if the food was OK. Simply job done. 3 people, 1 starter 1 main each and 6 drinks (2 of which a soft drink) and a bill of over £237. Absolutely diabolical. This used to be a fantastic restaurant, never again will I recommend or visit. Very disappointing.

Great food and staff. When we arrived, we were skeptical about the inner and loud music, but we were pleasantly surprised. Our server took care of us and answered all our questions.
