Great Neighbourhood Bar with Great Beer Selection. Lots of cask options which are usually overlooked and there was a nice vibe with a mixture of clientele. Friendly bar man who knew his onions, a nicely lit upmarket interior.

They dont tell you they dont take cash until your drink is prepared. This is new to me in Wales we still use cash freely. i was told they have no till and the bar lady said it wasnt her problem that I only had cash. I found this very rude. I was ordered by the manager to get one of my group (from the singing workshop I had attended) to pay the £1.50 due for my drink by card which I politely declined.The bar lady threatend me, a mature lady with a hip problem that I would be thrown out !. I eventually did find a credit card then couldnt get the pin to work so just sat with my group without the drink wondering if I would be physically thrown out , the threat didnt happen when I was with the others, but utterly shameful. Hardly any customers .

This is a very unfriendly place for women. We were served by a truculent man who appeared unhappy to be at work and very unhappy serving women. We were condescended by him and ultimately bullied. He and other members of staff shouted sexist, classist and ageist abuse at us until we left.

This was my first outing to a pub since lockdown and it was a great night! The tables outside were spaced out appropriately and the tables inside were screened off in a non-intrusive way. The bifold doors were open, creating a nice atmosphere. The staff were wearing masks, but they were also very friendly and helpful. They offered table service and the option to pay at your table. They had a 2 for 1 offer on crisps, which was a nice bonus. The toilets were operating as normal, but we were asked to wait for people to come out before going in. Overall, I would give this experience a perfect 10 out of 10.

We have always enjoyed the chilled out space where we have been regulars since it opened.We walked in this evening and came straight back out! Something is not right but not sure what it is with hideous bar and the lack of electricity at the back plus the garish tables in the back. No visible snacks on sale and because of the darkness it was hard to see ales on offer! So sad it has come to this, it's the Nip and Tip in future!
