Bidra med feedbackIt was very loud. Took a bit for food to come and when it did come it looked great but everything on the menu had some sort of sauce on it so I ordered mine without. It came with sauce on it so I couldn't eat most of it. I know I should have sent it back but didn't want to make a fuss. We had a good night but only because of the friends I was with.
Food came out incredibly late, incredibly dry and awful. Waitress had no concept that we 'd been waiting for ages and therefore didn 't apologise or notify the manager. Finally spoke to the manager at the end of the meal, who seemed very inconvenienced and was almost shocked that we would complain about one of the 'by one get one free ' pizzas being **** or coming out late because 'it was the free pizza anyway '......
Wouldnt go back very basic pizza but was cheap for £5 .Was served on a wooden chopping board that had been cut into ie scratches all over which isnt good due to hygiene reasons.Only one person serving.
I booked a booth for food and drinks. On entering I was greeted warmly and led to my table. My experience ends there as for some reason they had employed a Dj who played abhorrently loud music despite the perfect acoustics the bar has with their own sound system. This was early evening around 6pm so not what you would expect. I asked to be seated elsewhere however the places were limited they kindly took me to tusk which is adjacent to the bar. the bar man/waiter said 'yes it is like this this place is more of a club than restaurant ' erm well why do you serve food and allow for table reservations? As it was busy the best they had was a few stools so I decided to leave. It 's a shame as I have been to walrus pre the refurb and it had one of the better atmospheres in the nq, the music and the clientele did not fit in whatsoever looked like it was last orders at wetherspoons so they piled in there for more drinks. It 's unfortunate as the menu looks really nice and we had planned to go there for a while.
Really disappointed with the level of service and the quality of the food. The only redeeming part of the evening was when the manager acknowledged the poor level of service and offered a discount to our bill.
