Ukokkei Japan - Mandaluyong

A ramen place that serves good food and at a resonable price , i had tried the shiro and aka original, the 190 pesos is really worth every penny, broth for the shiro is flavorful, crisp and has that umami taste. The flavor is well balanced. The aka original ramen is too much for me , but its the same as the shiro one but a bit spicy, but overall its spiciness does not affect the taste it gives an extra kick to it. Service was fast, i didnt have to wait long to have my food served.

Been here twice. Both good experiences. Not as expensive as Ippudo. Taste is consistent. Excellent ramen broth. Service is also good. Could've been a five rating if the ambience is better.

Checked other reviews about this ramen house and decided to give it a try. Well i must say this is the cheapest ramen in megamall but they will kill you with the service charge hehehe broke agad What we ordered: Ramen /kuro - flavourful/garlicky Ramen /shiro - flavourful plain ramen curry chicken rice - small bits of chicken / i like japanese curry Chicken karrage - nothing special Broke pa din kala ko makakamura. Medyo malangaw dito s area kala ko palengke bring ur armor bess HAHAHAHAH

We have been craving for ramen lately. As Ramen Nagi is too pricey for us, we decided to try Ukokkei as recommended by a colleague. We were not disappointed. We even ordered their california maki and gyudon. This can be a cheaper option but I find the ingredients "sakto", not too much and not too shabby either. if not for the snooty waiter who returned our money (he said the scotch tape might cause for the money to be not accepted by the bank) it would have been a rating of 5.

The Ramen was good and it had a lot of serving for a reasonable price. Their Rice Meals on the other hand are a different story. For P250, we order a beef bowl (I think) and the portion would be just right for you if you are on a really strict diet. Their 1 cup of rice costs P60 and it was as big as an infant's bowl. So I suggest just getting the Ramen and nothing else.
