Bidra med feedbackThe taste and texture of the java rice can be improved.
Sisig platter is a scam. good for 2-3? 150pesos for that. I should have bought the 99 sisig (99 with rice) and did not gave any utensils
I love the spicy chicken... it's so deliciously fiery :)
The sisig platter is misleading. Despite being advertised as suitable for 2-3 people, it is not worth the 150 pesos. I should have ordered the 99-peso sisig with rice instead. Additionally, they failed to provide me with any utensils.
While driving around UST looking for a place to have lunch with a friend, we decided to check out Fusebox, a collection of newly-opened diners and food establishments along Laon Laan Street and Asturias in Sampaloc. Located next to the entrance on Asturias is Alejandro's, a small chicken barbecue restaurant that also serves a variety of grilled dishes, from Filipino-style skewered pork barbecue to grilled roasted pork belly to burgers. I ordered the Pork BBQ Java Rice (Php 99) and my friend Ian ordered the Alejandro's Signature Spicy Chicken, Jumbo (Php 115). Our food arrived promptly within 10 minutes. My dish included Java rice, two large skewers of pork barbecue, and a glass of lemon iced tea. The pork barbecue was delicious, meeting my expectations for quality. The meat was tender and not too fatty, with a sweet, smoky flavor and bits of charred elements adding extra taste and texture. The Java rice didn't have the traditional flavors of Java rice, but was still tasty. They offer unlimited rice for all rice meals, so you can always ask for more. The overall experience was great, with good food and a decent-sized dining area. Plus, you won't leave smelling like barbecue. I would give it a rating of 4 out of 5.
