Master Chef Fish - Mansfield

'large ' fish and chips £8.50.... I suspect 3oz (4 if I was being really generous) fish? Response to MasterChef.... Not a problem posting a pic, and if you agree with it then people know what they will get. I 'm not trying to be dishonest, your portions seem smaller whilst you also put your prices up. I still gave 3* as your food is nice If rather expensive. However, I 've been a few times and your portions are a lot smaller for an equivalent price and size than anywhere else. On this occasion I 'd have to say I 've seen thicker birdseye fish fingers.

Great food at a reasonable price. Fantastic menu including some Greek dishes, Haloumi fries are amazing. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Absolutely beautiful food, We have had food from here a few times and every time the food is gorgeous. The haddock is soft yet with a crispy batter. The chips are always hot and not soggy at all. The sausage is a typical chip shop sausage, nicely cooked and hot. The service is top notch, we have yet to try the delivery service that is available. But from ordering within the shop we have no complaints.

Had the £7.50 big mixed kabab it was a Saturday night and they do a pork one as well as the donner and chicken on Friday and Saturday nights, even better its on a nan not a pitta bread.. Lush

Ordered from here for dinner tonight as normally nice what a massive mistake it was!! Wrong food delivered. Then came to pick the wrong food up and had to wait a further 15 minutes for the right food to arrive. when it arrived the order was wrong and ALL food cold apart from fish. After ringing and speaking to them again with issues with our order all they could do was replace the cold food and sort out the wrong order. We was told on the phone that the food would be done and sent out straight away. After another half an hour waiting for food to arrive and now with the fish cold still no sight. After ringing for a 3rd time and hearing the amount of aggressive and abusive language over the phone. I went to the shop to get my money back. The lady behind the counter SHOULD NOT be in a customer facing role. Abusive from the start to then swearing and slamming stuff on the counter in front of me and at me. To the storming off shouting to her colleagues as she was going you lot can sort it. The part owner behind the counter tried to do her best but didn’t look like she understood what she was doing or what was happening. The other owner just came back into the shop and said give him his money back. No apology after waiting for 2 hours for food or the incident that happened!! I was a regular customer and pointed people whom asked to the chip shop as I thought it was the best one round here. After todays episode I shall never be coming here again and I most certainly won’t be telling people about it either.
