Hudson Essex - Mansfield

Not impressed , we went to have a nice date before baby makes his arrival. We have never been here before.Service was terrible we sat for 12 minutes without drinks. My husband got steak and he had half of it in the plate because it was all fat . Way over priced for what they serve . We are very disappointed.

This is a wonderful gem in downtown Mansfield. The food was exquisite. The staff were extremely friendly. Plus the owners, Rick and Carol, came up and introduced themselves like great hosts do. I highly recommend this restaurant. Plus I didn’t make it down to the Wine Cavern which looks even more incredible.

This place has been open a while but I have never considered going until we decided to catch a show at the local playhouse and wanted a decent meal before going. Hudson and Essex did not disappoint at all. I've been to some really great, upscale restaurants in my time and Hudson and Essex is very good. My steak was cooked to perfection, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere wasn't stuffy at all. Sometimes getting an upscale meal means eating in silence, and agonizing over what freaking fork to use, but Hudson and Essex has found a way to combine an enjoyable, relaxed atmosphere with food that will blow your mind. You really do the get the best of all worlds here. We will definitely be back!

Atmosphere is fabulous. The presentation of the dishes we ordered was amazing. The service is superb.The crab cake was delicious, as well as my salad. The filet was cooked perfect, the only thing I didn’t care for was it had a vinegar taste to it. I’m not sure if it was from the garnish or what.I ordered the lemon pound cake for dessert, it would of tasted better if they used fresh blueberries. It was too sweet.I would of liked to see a cheesecake on the dessert menu.The owners came by our table twice to make sure everything was ok. You don’t see that very often. Over all we loved it !!!!!!!

Went for our first visit here yesterday and to say we were impressed doesn’t even cut it! Awesome customer service, delicious food and great drinks! We will definitely be back for sure and are looking forward to planning our next trip down!
