Neah-kah-nie Bistro - Manzanita

We loved everything about this place so much! The food was phenomenal, wine was fantastic, and the service and ambiance were amazing as well. Our neighbor in Florida highly recommend this spot to us, and we are so happy that we went.

We've been enjoying this Bistro for several years. Always a great meal and wonderful service. The whipped feta with roasted garlic appetizer is a favorite. We miss the chicken Marsala dish but the mushroom ravioli was reminiscent of the delicious Marsala sauce. A very lovely evening! Thank you.

Very mixed… we made reservations and were really looking forward to dinner on our anniversary. There are no cocktails available despite many beautiful photos they’ve posted on their own website. Wine and beer yes. When we inquired the waiter abruptly stated no. The website online menu isn’t quite current. Some entrees and many desserts in their photos are no longer available. There were only two desserts available. The main entree cod with risotto was delicious. Cod seemed poached definitely no sear as described. When we had asked the male waiter about two of the items on the menu he said read the menu I wrote it myself. Wow. The portions were generous. Caesar chopped up salad nothing special. Wine and beer good reasonably priced. Ambience is cozy lots of candles though ours was never lit. Service was the worst even though there were only four diners there counting the two of us as it was early. It was abrupt, not competent, definitely not welcoming. We were the first to arrive yet seated at the worst cramped table in the corner. We asked politely yet they refused to move us to another table for two. The young lady said no that tables are assigned. Shortly another couple came in and got a better seat. Weird. The woman didn’t appear to be trained at all nor seem to care. The male waiter had attitude throughout no idea why -I swear we didn’t run over his cat. Each of them separately came from behind and reached across very near my face without saying a word to fill the water glasses. Honestly it was like Denny’s service with a new employee. It’s too bad I really wanted to love this place but don’t for many reasons. We left wondering what happened maybe new owners, staff and bad night?

A delightful little surprise in Manzanita. Our waiter was hospitable and well informed. He accommodated an extra guest with aplomb. The food, dungeness crab over risotto and true cod, were excellent.

There was one server, with no help, for all the tables, which made for terrible service. The menu is limited but, even worse, the dish we had gone there for was supposedly out even though it was just 6 pm. It 's snooty for no apparent reason .... there were four empty tables when we were seated but our request to move to one of them because of the loud person at the table next to us was denied. The food was okay but nothing special except for the pear/radicchio salad which was excellent. The prices are high.
