Firehouse Subs Arbor Lake - Maple Grove

Late night. When I arrived, there were 3 'kids workers'. all three ran back when I entered. I thought they'd get the right workers. 2 of them came back to get my command. one of the young seems to train because he needed some painting help. the girl seems to know most. there were no wobbles for my order. they told me to be happy. the 'Kids/Workers' were pleasant, but very, very unprofessional. they should also be reminded of the following when they open their gloves, they must be extremely careful what they touch next. including their person (arm, waist, etc.)Hygiene, cleanliness is the number rule when in the food industry.

I came in for the first time today March 9, 2022 at around noon. I noticed that the girl making sandwiches (who was wearing sweatpants and pajamas, by the way), picked up her phone with the protective gloves on, was swiping and texting on the dirty screen, then set the phone down and grabbed a handful of the bacon for my sandwich with those same gloves on. I threw up in my mouth a little bit. I knew right then and there I had to cancel my order and get a refund. I told what I saw to the cashier and I don't think it even registered to him, what I had seen. This staff is disgusting. Not to mention the whole crew was moping around like they were on tranquilizers. It took about two minutes before any even greeted me or made eye contact when I walked in. Absolutely terrible and gross.

Monday, mid afternoon, late winter. Only ones in the store, staff very friendly and order delivered fast and hot.One star off for unclean floors and tables, another off for broken soda machine.Also, we forgot that lettuce, etc., isn't added to sandwiches unless you ask for it. I wish they would remind customers or ask them when ordering. If you go there a lot, you know, but if you're only occasional, like us, you don't remember until that first bite and then it's too late.

I love these subs. Meat and cheese are toasted, but the bread is tasty and soft. The menu makes it a pain to customize, but the veggies are fresh delicious. New guy forgot to add the olives. You can't see them assemble it, so I had to make a trip back for the wife.

Terrible service. 2 employees ‘working’. Both have absolutely no enthusiasm and do not want to be at work. 6 customers in store and the one employee disappears in the back. I had been in there for 10 minutes and still haven’t gotten my order taken so I walked out and I see through the window the guy in the back is just walking around talking on the phone. Most likely will not return.
