Il Faro Pizzeria Bar Trattoria

Awful experience The tuna had been frozen and not properly cooked.. it was still cold in spite of being deep fried The pizza was just terrible.. and this is in Italy! Had a bad digestion for the whole night. What was even worse was that we had asked for a table with a better view and there was one available but in spite of our many requests they decided to leave it empty for the whole evening. Not sure why but that was the last straw Just don’t go there

We have been to Il Faro few time during our visit to Elba. The restaurant has a great position ovelooking the sea amazing sunset view in front of your eyes. Food is very tasty big variety of fish and seafood dishes but also meat has been very good. We tried octopus salad, sea food risotto, grilled calamari, grilled fish, tagliatta, tiramisu all very delicious. Highly recommend this place. We have been many times during our stay and the quality of good and service has been very high.

Between my husband and I we had a pizza, a pasta dish, and a seafood risotto. All amazing. This restaurant is situated in a beautiful location and you can sit out front and enjoy the view over the water.
