Mi Rancho #2 - Marietta

I have eaten at many restaurants in my time and this one had by far the worst tasting food of any place that I have ever been. My girlfriend and I stopped trying to eat after a few bites. The taste of the food that we ordered was horrible with a weird aftertaste that was just as difficult to get rid of as it is to describe it. I ordered nachos and she ordered steak quesadillas, simple stuff that one would think would be difficult to screw up. Wrong. On top of that the items on the menu are waaay overpriced, 4 dollars for a can of coke with no refills, service was abysmal, the place is loud and raucous, and the men who used the restroom behind where we were sitting did not close the door as they stood at the urinal and did not wash their hands afterwards. A completely miserable and disgusting experience all the way around. If you like terrible food, terrible service, and ridiculously high prices then this is your place. A simple order of nachos, quesadillas, and two cokes with tip was $45.00. Don't order the lobster if you go either. That will run you around $90.00. Unbelievable, really. The worst of the worst. If I could give this place a negative 5 star rating I would gladly do it. Caveat Emptor.

Excellent service and meal at this restaurant. The meals are supplied at remarkable prices, and the portions are quite generous. It is advantageous if you are able to communicate in Spanish, as I am. It could be difficult to place an order if calling in for a pick up or take home request because some servers speak both English and Spanish. Yes, I propose that more locals dine there. I go there at least once a week. A fully stocked bar is available, along with cold beer in bottles and on tap. It might be preferable to leave the kids with a sitter because it is a bar that many gentlemen go after work.

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. There were bugs in my food, and the steak was paper-thin—only about 5 millimeters thick, no kidding. They even tried to charge me $3.00 for tap water and $10.00 for soft drinks. It was lunchtime, and the place was full of people still intoxicated from the night before, who kept interrupting our meal. The service was clueless, and the food was overpriced for the quality, not to mention the bugs. I definitely won't be returning.
