Stem Wine - Marietta

Since this is a wine bar, the food is served in a tapas style, and there is only one main dish available—a burger. We ordered Brussels sprouts, deviled eggs, shrimp, goat cheese dip, and paella. The Brussels sprouts arrived shortly after we placed our order, offering a unique take on the dish. They were drenched in an oil-based sauce, mixed with apples and bacon. While they were decent, I wouldn't say they were particularly memorable, but I wouldn’t mind eating them again if necessary. Next, the deviled eggs arrived (a serving of 1.5 eggs). They were a major disappointment, only hinting at a truffle flavor. Having tried the deviled eggs at Seed before, I can confidently say they are ten times better than those served at the wine bar. The shrimp arrived next, accompanied by bread and served in a butter sauce. This dish was also merely okay. Finally, the paella came out, and this was the biggest letdown of all. It was bland and, quite frankly, the worst paella I've ever had. The rice tasted like the kind that comes from a microwaveable bag. The dish was overly salty and not presented in a cast iron skillet like traditional paella. They should consider renaming it to something more appropriate, like "rice mix." The goat cheese dip was another disappointment. It tasted like warm cream cheese topped with some kind of meat. When we inquired about the ingredients, we were told it contained cream cheese and Parmesan cheese, but it hardly lived up to expectations.

We started with the Napa Reserve wine flight, followed by a glass of Jordan 2015 Cabernet and Cain Concept 2012 Red Blend. I really appreciated their wine selection. The tapas were also delicious! We enjoyed paella, scallops, and fried artichokes, and everything was fantastic. I was particularly impressed with the scallops. Overall, it’s a great spot for a date, a girls' night out, or simply to enjoy some amazing food and wine. Reservations are recommended, and I appreciated that the servers wore masks and the place was very clean and safe—definitely important these days. I can't wait to go back!

Delicious food! I highly recommend Seed. We tried the cod and salmon along with the corn grit fritter appetizer, and everything was excellent. A great dining experience—we'll definitely come back!

The family-friendly atmosphere, complete with a lovely patio, was wonderful. The food was exceptional, the wine was exquisite, and the dessert was delightful—all complemented by outstanding service!
