Called in an order and the kid taking the order didn’t know anything about the menu. Went to pickup the order and had to wait ten minutes past the time and the staff didn’t care about anyone in the lobby. Food was ok. Had sausage and brisket. Brisket had minimal fat and the smoke flavor was good. Highly recommend banana pudding.

The food is decent at best but the service was beyond slow!!! I ordered take out , one simple plate and was told in 15 minutes It’ll be ready. Got there 15 minutes later and waited inside for an additional 35 minutes and they were dead. So what was supposed to be 15 minutes turned into a 50 minute wait with no apology or explanation!! Even heard one of them say how slow it was. We won’t be back!!!

So this is the first bbq joint I tried here in Bay City once moving here. De-lish-us! Do you hear me? We usually order the meats by the pound. Yes, that's right, the pound. Flavors are what bbq is about and this place can pour it on thick with flavor. But I must say, there has been a couple of times we visited and the food wasn't up to previous standards but passed that off due to the possibility of training someone new on the food. If so, please watch them closer and train them longer. Other than that, A A BBQ is the spot.

We arrived here around noon Saturday to a line almost to the door! We placed our order at the counter and waited for our number to be called. The LITE PLATE $7.75) was 2 meats and 2 sides. Great lunch size portions. Overall good value. I really enjoyed the chopped beef and had wished I had a bit more instead of the pork which wasn't that good. My two unique sides, black eye pea SALAD and bacon onion potatoes were terrific.

I was there about 2pm. You go in and order and they call your number to go get your food. I ordered the chicken breast plate with 2 sides...less that 9$. I enjoyed my meal. Thought all was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. I'd go back if in the area.
