Markham Moor Inn

We decided to go for the moment to go for tee that was recently pulled to retford. this is my new favorite place. beautiful eating and beautiful personal large ambiente. thanks to the fact that they could relax us after a busy week.

We took a punt on the Markham Moor Inn for a family celebration as it was halfway between the 2 branches of the family, so we had no previous knowledge except the website. We were a party of 34, so our expectations were lowered as we accept that kitchens find it hard to cater for such large numbers. We pre-selected from a limited selection at a set price, but the choices were excellent and varied. Our expectations were massively exceeded. The building isn't much to look at from the outside, and I confess I was slightly worried on arrival, but I needn't have worried. The dining room was lovely, and our 4 tables were set out and dressed beautifully. The staff were excellent, and couldn't have been more helpful, despite the fact that we were probably quite demanding and difficult guests. Nothing was too much trouble, and the whole experience was a joy. The food was lovely, with high end presentation, even though we were such a big party. I cannot find fault with anything. Thank you for a wonderful experience, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

We've eaten here with friends and family several times and both the food and service have been consistently outstanding. This is far and away the best place to eat in the region (just don't tell too many people or we won't be able to book a table when we want one!

Myself along with 3 others came for a meal last night, this was my 1st time here and have to say it was amazing. The food was gorgeous so nice and the presentation along with atmosphere and decoration was lovely. We had the 3 courses for £33 and ended up with 5 courses wow excellent value for money. I would of expected to pay more! Can not wait to came back again! I need a monthly babysitter now lol. So thank you again form waiting staff to the chefs beautiful

Just returned from a Mother's Day lunch and I have to say everything, the food, the staff and the wine where excellent, so good that Father's Day is now booked!
