Bidra med feedbackThis restaurant serves boiling hot soup with raw slices of meat and other ingredients, accompanied by rice noodles. The original Cross Bridge Rice Noodle with black discs of raw meat was served on a tablet and customers can add their own ingredients to the bowl. We also ordered dishes with braised pork and braised bone-in meat. The broth was slightly salty and the noodles were a bit overcooked, as if they had soaked in water for too long. The meat was tender and flavorful. For appetizers, we tried the crispy pork fillet with Szechuan peppercorns, which was a bit soggy, and the brown sugar sticky rice, which was sweet but lacked filling. The staff was accommodating and allowed us to cut and enjoy a birthday cake after our meal, providing knives and forks for our convenience.
The dining experience at this restaurant was average, with below-average service. I recently visited and tried their version of bridge noodles, but was really disappointed. The concept is to add individual ingredients to piping hot broth, but all the ingredients were already in the bowl, making it difficult to enjoy the dish. The broth was decent, but the noodles were just okay. The service was lackluster, provided by an unmotivated teenager. To make matters worse, the noodles were served in plastic bowls, making it awkward to eat with the small spoons provided. While I understand this may be a response to COVID-19, the overall experience was disappointing. I'm not sure why they have a 4.2 rating.
There is ample and convenient free parking available both on the ground level and underground at this restaurant. The space is clean and spacious. Please note that this establishment only accepts debit card and cash, no credit cards. It is unclear if this is a result of COVID protocols or a permanent policy. The food was served in takeout dishes instead of traditional serving dishes, with all the sides already in the bowl. While it was slightly concerning to have the hot soup poured into plastic containers, it ended up tasting good. It would be beneficial for the restaurant to consider hiring a second waitress, as the current staff member was busy juggling between serving tables and taking mobile orders without being able to clean up finished tables during lunch service.
Terrible! her food smell and taste like dishwasher detergent. the wait was rude.
Ell known for their crossing bridge noodles (there's a long interesting back story on the name of these noodles, look it up)If you're looking for a scalding hot bowl of noodles on a cold wintery day, this should be your paradise.I ordered the tomato soup base and by far it was the most flavorful tomato soup base I've ever had.The iron bowls used for the soup keep the the soup scalding hot the entire duration of the wonderful eating experience. You add the ingredients at your pace and to your liking. A great experience different from the normal hot pot meal.
