Bidra med feedbackWe ate here twice for lunch – each time choosing 2 of their $12.90 lunch specials which we shared. We had Colombian hamburgers, Palta Rellena (absolutely delicious) and Kingfish Ceviche. We really enjoyed the ceviche but have to say it was rather a small portion compared with the other offerings. I was left a little hungry.Having said that, the food was interesting, the staff friendly and we would recommend it. On our next trip we will definitely visit for dinner.
The food was good. The service was good - the staff were quick, friendly and helpful. The decor and seating was appropriate, and the level of background noise allowed for a conversation over dinner. Prices were in the range expected, with plates intended to share at about $18 each.[Tip - when choosing a pisco sour, we recommend the recipe from Chile.]
Six family members had the set menu as recommended by the waitress at $39 per head. This not a good idea as the food was less than average. Very disappointing as the food was slow coming and in no particular order, the last course being severed to us was a salad. Most of the dishes we found poor. Nice venue and friendly staff but wasn't worth half the price.
Last minute decision to stop for alcoffee and cool drinks.Lovely waitress cleared sofas for us even though she was using area to prepare menu board. This was greatly appreciated. Service was friendly, professional, efficient and prompt.Definitely a place to try again. Hopefully more time to sample a couple of meals next time.
We had been recommended this restaurant in the past, but we understand that by the time we got there, it had changed hands and the quality of the experience has dropped. It was a busy night, but service was painfully slow. The staff were pleasant enough and seemed to keep busy, so maybe the kitchen is the problem. When it was suggested we get 4 or 5 dishes to share between the three of us, I guessed than that portions were small. Unfortunately they were miserly. Some food was almost good - most average. A cold oily vegetable dish was unpleasant. I tried Alpaca - and don't recommend it - very strong flavour - so let's just keep them eating grass and growing wool.Being adjacent to the Sol Bar, means that a quiet experience is out of the question. I guess they have no control over that, but we found the noise level a bit over the top (mind you we are over 60).We had a much better experience at the adjacent restaurant the next night.
