Crabby Daves - Marshfield

Crabby Dave's is closed for business. A new restaurant has taken its place, Fluer De Lis Cafe Lounge. They serve Southern/Cajun style food.

Crabby Dave 's? No one crabby here! This is really a friendly place that made me feel right at home from the moment I walked in. This obviously is a local hang out because everyone in the place knew each other (except me! . Didn 't take long and I was part of multiple conversations with the locals. I ate at the bar (there is a dinning area too . The bar is U shaped so everybody in the place is looking at each other..wonder if John Taffer (Bar Rescue ever thought of this great idea to promote conversation? A+ for friendliness. No crabbiness here! Food wise, my Rueben was decent and so were the onion rings. Crock of French Onion might have been the best part of my meal. Menu had more that just bar food '. It included some steaks, pasta and salads. If do you are in town looking for a nice local place to meet some people and have a nice meal, this is your place.

The food is good and fairly priced. However, the cleanliness of the bathroom could be better, though I tend to be particular about such things. The bartender was friendly and attentive.

I cannot recommend this restaurant. My experience was quite disappointing. The Italian beef sandwich was reminiscent of a lackluster French dip, and the supposedly “famous” steak sandwich was merely a whole steak served on a bun, lacking any toppings or flavor. I had requested my steak to be cooked medium-well, yet it came out completely rare. The French fries were soggy and undercooked. I realize this place is mainly a seafood restaurant, but there is definitely room for improvement in their menu offerings.

The staff at this restaurant are friendly, prompt, and very helpful. The food is delicious and reasonably priced, with a nice variety on the menu. The dining area has a cozy atmosphere as well.
