Charlies Drive In - Martinsville

I used to frequent this restaurant often as a child, and I always enjoyed seeing the guard and gorilla in the cage outside in the parking lot. After years of not visiting Charlie's, I finally returned last weekend with my husband. He absolutely loved the Cheeseburger, saying it was the best he's ever had. I ordered my all-time favorite, the best baked mushrooms I've ever tasted. Thank you for bringing back memories for this longtime customer.

I've been eating there for over 50 years. We still eat there almost every time I go to Martinsville

I ordered the Smith-Burger with a small root beer and shared the fries with my husband. It was hands down the best burger I've ever had, and I've tried some really good ones before. The special sauce and the slight crispiness on the outside of the burger made it absolutely delicious! And the root beer was excellent as well.

I absolutely love this place! It has been one of my favorite dining spots since my childhood, and it still is whenever we come to visit.
