The Rice House - Maryland Heights

I ordered from here for the second time. On my first visit, I tried the garlic chicken, which was milder and quite good. This time, I opted for the Pho Beef Duck Special, and it was delicious! However, I didn't realize I shouldn't add ALL the sauces to my bowl—Sriracha and Hoisin together made it a bit overwhelming. Despite that, the flavor was fantastic, and I'm definitely looking forward to ordering it again. I gave this place 4 stars because I did have to wait about 30 minutes for my food. On the bright side, I got to enjoy a funny Kung Fu football movie while I waited, so it wasn't a total loss!

I've never had a bad experience at this restaurant. I live nearby, and we dine here frequently. Our usual orders include the Jerk St. Paul and the Angrybird St. Paul, although my partner mentioned that the dishes have been a bit inconsistent lately. I typically go for the Veggie Fried Rice, while he enjoys the Shrimp Fried Rice with veggies. I really love their Rangoon, and he appreciates it too. Overall, the food is quite good. My only issue with the Rice House is their early closing time! It's currently 8:30, and they close in just 30 minutes, plus they close even earlier during the week. That's the only reason I'm giving them a 4-star rating instead of a 5. I hope they extend their hours soon!
