Shoney's Maryville

We hadn't dined at a Shoney's in quite some time, as they all closed down in our area. We used to enjoy their brunch bar, where you can have fresh salads alongside breakfast and lunch dishes, making it a perfect fit for everyone's tastes. This particular location was lovely, and our waitress, who I believe was named Jane, provided outstanding service. She was very attentive and took the time to answer several questions we had about the Maryville area.

The waitress was extremely polite and genuinely thrilled to see me. I've been to other buffet-style restaurants where the staff often seem unfriendly, making it clear that customers are not always welcome. However, this Shoney's had a wonderfully inviting and friendly atmosphere. The buffet offered a variety of tasty and delicious dishes, suggesting that a lot of care had gone into preparing the food. I was pleasantly surprised to find meatloaf and steak on the buffet, as it’s been ages since I’ve seen those options available. Thank you, Shoney's, for a fantastic experience!

However, the front desk staff could use some improvement. I often have to request my server because the hostess tends to seat us in a crowded area. It seems like her role is more of a side job. But that's just my observation! I really hope that upper management recognizes the invaluable asset they have in Lori. She is always willing to check on ingredients for us, especially since our kids are sensitive to dyes and artificial additives like MSG.

We love Shoney's. Ever time we've eaten here for the buffet we have never been disappointed. The servers are super nice. We went around noon and they had both the breakfast buffet and the lunch buffet available. They keep the buffet food fresh and stocked.

We eat here every 1-2 weeks for the last 3 months. Friendly energetic staff, good food you can always count on, and just great people and atmosphere. Sugee and Austin did great tonight, but we've not had a staff member that wasn't good at thier job. America at its best, no pretentious bs, just a hardy meal and good service!
