Peking Garden - Matamoras

This restaurant has a very friendly atmosphere and is quite nice. I arrived just two minutes before 3 PM, right when lunch specials were ending. By the time I parked and made my way to the cashier, it was exactly 3 PM! To my surprise, she still honored the lunch prices, which left a great first impression on me. I ordered the chicken and broccoli along with egg drop soup. It was pretty good for quick Chinese food. I understand this isn't a fine dining establishment, but for the lunch price I paid, it was definitely worth it! The fried rice contained generous chunks of meat, which was delicious. I plan to return and hope to bring my family next time as well.

Fantastic, usually, but today, they forget my white rice that comes with the order. I didn't have any at home too eat with my ribs, and I still don't have any rice. That really sucks. Still a great place to eat and take out!

I was impressed by everything I had at this restaurant! I have no complaints at all. It's quite challenging to find good Chinese food in this area, so I'm really glad I decided to try this place. I ordered mei fun noodles, steamed dumplings, and General Tso's chicken, and everything was delicious and fresh!

I've been visiting this restaurant for four years now, and I don't have much to compare it to in this area. Like many places recently, prices have increased while portion sizes seem to have decreased. However, I've never had any problems with their food. So, why not give it a try and see what you think?

Ordered the chicken and mushrooms with an appetizer of shrimp toast. Both were surprisingly good and portion sizes were large. Fast service.
