Muffin's Icecream Shop - Mebane

This is a classic ice cream shop with decent ice cream. We like to bring our children here occasionally. The staff is friendly, service is good, and the ice cream is tasty. It's not a fancy place, but it's a quaint little ice cream shop in the small town of Mebane. Don't set your expectations too high, but it's a nice spot for a sweet treat.

On Monday night (11/29/21), the server at the restaurant was neither rude nor friendly, just indifferent. The prices listed online were not accurate and had actually increased, but were still comparable to other ice cream shops. The shop itself is charmingly quaint, but the ice cream scoops are on the smaller side. It was enough for me and seemed to be average overall. The highlight was the downtown Mebane atmosphere, which made the visit worthwhile.

Local ice cream shop selling locally made products. It's nice to see a small business support another small business instead of just buying some large brand ice cream to fill their store. While there's not a lot of indoor seating available, there are some nice picnic benches and rocking chairs outside. Plus, getting our ice cream to go is preferred so that we can shop around the downtown area. This is a regular stop for our family, every staff member is friendly and service is quick.

The ice cream at this restaurant was fantastic! There was a great selection of flavors to choose from, and the prices were very affordable. They even offer pint-size containers for takeout. We will definitely be returning for more of Muffin's delicious ice cream.
