Five Guys - Medicine Hat

The burgers here are excellent, and I have no complaints about them. They offer a great selection of toppings at reasonable prices. The fries are decent, too, although there have been a few occasions when they were undercooked and overly greasy. I haven't visited in a while, but every now and then I crave a burger from Five Guys. I also appreciate the 50s diner vibe, and the free peanuts are a nice touch!

Sadly, Five Guys falls into the latter category; however, the patty is so delicious that it could be served in the most unappealing setting and still taste fantastic. I wish more burger places took as much pride in their patties as this one does. The variety of toppings is also impressive. The restaurant is clean and features an open kitchen. On the downside, the prices are a bit high, and I'm not a huge fan of their fries. You get about the equivalent of seven potatoes, but they just don't do it for me. As for the comment about waiting an hour for a meal, that person must have been behind 300 others in line because they make each burger to order right away. I've never waited more than 20 minutes, even during the busy lunchtime rush. Overall, I’d give it a 4 out of 5 for Medicine Hat.

YUM!. Awesome burgers, huge portions of fresh delicious fries and fast service. Our boys who are not keen on restaurants as a whole, LOVE this place.

Best fries in town!. We have eaten at Five Guys about half a dozen times. The food is always fresh and delicious! These guys have the best fries and fry portions in town. My hubby and I were easily able to share a small fry and feel full afterwards. We often go and grab a large fry to go and bring it home to eat with whatever we are having for dinner. The burgers are really good and do taste homemade.  They are a bit pricey though as far as getting a whole meal goes (burgers, fries and a drink...

Just stopped in our our way cross country. Best burgers we have ever had! Someone who appeared to be the owner or manager was walking around, cleaning tables, visiting with kids and offering to take orders to the tables etc. made for the best service at a fast food restaurant we have ever had! This location of five guys will definately be on our trip plan for future stops. Also love, love, love that they provide clean high chairs and family restrooms with good change tables!
