Ajisen Ramen Hawthorn - Melbourne

This Japanese restaurant in Hawthorn is truly one of the best. I often dine here with friends and always enjoy their Tori Karaage Chahan and Chicken Curry. The combination of rice and lemon lime bitter is delicious. While this is a chain restaurant, the location in Hawthorn is exceptional in my experience.

After trying the ramen on a second visit, we were impressed. The Ajisen ramen and toro buta ramen were delicious, with a milder flavor than authentic Kumamoto ramen soup. The soft boiled eggs were perfect, but not ajitamago. I will definitely be returning for the ramen.

Always pretty good quality food. A great range and good value for money. We have always left pretty happy and full from our visits each time. The bento boxes are our fav.

Straightforward and fast ramen is a definite winner. Perfect spot for students with affordable prices, the dishes are served promptly and delicious. While not the absolute best I've had, I would definitely come back for this meal repeatedly.

The food here is invariably good, great ramen, bentos, and they're often adding new things. <br/ <br/ The ambience is okay but what gets me is that this restaurant is freezing year round. Not bad in Summer, but I wear a coat in winter, that's not pleasant. <br/ <br/ They also don't allow split bills for no good reason, which is inconvenient when eating lunch.
