This place turned me off dumplings for good, the staff were extremely rude. When the food came they pretty much threw it on the table. That's not the worst, the "chef" walked out from the kitchen and lit up a cigarette in the restaurant, that's still not the worst. The 2 wait staff at the front desk were taking turns spitting into the sink and I'm not talking discreetly I'm talking the whole snorting, gagging then spitting loudly. This was about 7 feet from where we were sitting, I near threw up there and then. I left my food on the table and walked out. They have shut down for "renovations" I have been told the health department shut them down. But they are set to reopen with the same staff. Avoid this horrid place at all costs.
Went here to have shanghai dumplings. Ordered one serve of 8, but only ate 3 or 4.They tasted like frozen supermarket dumplings. Tops were hard and thick. Almost no soup inside.$10.80 for a serve not cheap either.I had good dumplings here about 4 years ago, then bad was last year. 2 strikes your out, I wont be back!
We had duck and celery dumplings, then fried noodles and a spicy stir fried duck dish. All were good-not great-and arrived very fast. Service was efficient but not overly friendly. Location and the fact it was open brought us in to eat and if I was pushed for time I'd go again with no great expectations.
I went in here for dinner one day. The menu looked interesting so I tried some Stir fried pork with chillies which was quite nice.I decided to try some Sichuan beef in chilli oil. Very disappointing.... It's usually my favourite Sichuan dish but here it was a let down.
