Neon Tiger - Melbourne

Dropped in for coffee with a friend to pass some time and have some good old fashioned conversation. Was not disappointed, coffee is good and this is a place to put on the list to go back to.

Some of my friends really like this place so perhaps it's just my opinion but I think it's a bit plastic and try hard. It's a cafe that serves breakfast and lunch, and the staff were reasonably friendly. They totally over complicate coffee...trying to be so edgy... and over complicate their breakfast dishes. Now I've eaten in some of the worlds best restaurants, so it's not that I don't like fine dining or sophistication, but this seems put on rather than authentic.

Went there for lunch. The menu items were all great. I ordered the slow cooked lamb roll. The lamb was succulent with other condiments. The combination was perfect. I would have another one. Ideal to spend an afternoon having a cup of tea and a vanilla slice or velvet lamington. Will go again.

Where did all those people have Sunday brunch before Neon Tiger opened! We were there on a chilly morning and sat outside as we had a dog with us. The service is great, cheery and welcoming. It has a great feel of a good local place. Coffee is good. Food is even better. They have smartly included smaller serves such as the slider. Our dishes were all good.This is a nice addition in a very competitive market. Recommended.

This place opened up just down the road from my sister's house. Great all day breakfast items and some new stuff. I had Reuben sandwich which was super. Ok service as they forgot my hash browns
