Bidra med feedbackPlenty of variety and the vegetarian in our group had no problem in finding something suitable. We were a party of five so booked for a mid-week lunch but probably would've been fine without booking. Another in our group was making a return visit so whilst it wasn't to my taste, that isn't the case for everyone. The pizzas are quite large for one although not enough for two. I had the very disappointing mushroom pizza, which had mushrooms that tasted as if they'd come from the field to the pizza via a can.
First of all, I invite you to have a look at the pictures as attached."Poor service" is already a compliment. Those girls don't even smile or care about customers. The curly one brought me the pizza with a huge hole in the middle, and when I asked if it was burnt she just answered "mm No, it's just like.." (LIKE BURNT??) and left. Honestly I do not throw food away, but it all tasted disgusting. The back section is quiter than the buzzy entrance, but smells like Toilets.I suggest to go to SPQR just across the road.
We found this place as I needed to be near the theatre, and Spaghetti Tree was too busy (and with unpleasant door staff I found.) Ordered the calzone with potato, cheese, pumpkin and omg! It was delicious. I'd never even had calzone before, but this one was great as I was in the mood for some veggies too. Delicious. The only thing was that they don't split the bill - hate this, as we never have money on us & then gets complicated with 4 plus people.
Dropped in before our long drive home after a show at the Princess Theatre. Just a few minutes walk away at the top end of Bourke Street. It was empty but then filled up in minutes with the theatre crowds. We had pizza with the yellow pomodoro and buffalo mozzarella. Completely delicious. We have small appetites and one pizza between two was perfect but if you're hungry, go for one each. Service was friendly and efficient and were in and out in 20 minutes! Yummy!
Stopped in here on the way to the theatre (At Her Majesty's theatre, about 1 - 2 blocks away). We ordered a Snow White pizza to share (pizza with buffalo mozzarella, goats cheese, potato, pumpkin & sage) and it was delicious. Portions are generous, and the ingredients overall taste of a high quality. Focaccia was also nice. The lady serving was friendly and pleasant. Seats and atmosphere was comfortable as well, and it wasnt overcrowded like many other restaurants this end of Bourke St. Only suggestion is it would be nice to have a pasta option or two, as there was two of us, and we wouldve liked to share a pizza and pasta between us. This restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating, and according to the menu also does take away. They also do gluten free bases. There is a tram stop right outside the restaurant. Would recommend, and would go again when near the theatre.
