Newk's Eatery - Memphis

I ordered take out, and they were organized and on time with my food in the busiest location in Memphis, TN, at lunchtime. I was truly impressed since it was my first time. The food was amazing.

My food was great. Been wanting to try for a while and super glad i did today!

Ordered the potato soup and the newk Q sandwich(chicken and BBQ) sandwich was pretty good , had a slight kick to sauce. Overall bot impressed for the price. Soup was peppery and was also ok. It was Luke warm though and not hot soup. I guess they had to heat it up but did not do it ver well. You would think they would check for food safety reasons to atleast the required temp. Over all for 75 dollars for 5 people to eat bot impressed. They do have a good menu.

It has been awhile since I've been in Newks about 3 years or so... nothing has really changed sadly. The 2 previous locations I used to visit for salad, are both closed. I'm not sure if this is last one or only one left in town, but its obvious, there needs to be support there. Service is mediocre as is atmosphere. Food is good (avocado and shrimp salad), but I'm compelled to believe prices have gone up some while proportion has gotten smaller.

I love newk’s eatery. They offer a lot of options to choose from. I love their half and half pairing. Salads are usually good here. Large salads are really large. I usually can’t finish. I used to love their baked Mac n cheese. However, they are not that good in recent times. This one is just another newk’s in the Memphis area. Dinner time was moderately busy. Although I asked for Mac n cheese with bacon, they gave me the plain one! The salad was fresh, filling, and refreshing.
