Bidra med feedbackAs a freelancer, I often work from coffee shops, and it was an absolute treat to stumble across this café in Memphis. This eclectic, brightly decorated coffee house has a wonderful, laid back atmosphere, free WiFi, plenty of power outlets along the walls for the laptop inclined patrons, and excellent food. I had the turkey melt, and it was simple, elegant, and delicious. They have a rather impressive selection of teas (many coffee houses I've visited have at best 5 6 options; Otherlands has about 25 30). The only hitch is that the parking is very limited and difficult to maneuver. The parking lot isn't much bigger than a typical aisle in a major parking lot, and you have to back out all the way to get your car out. But the parking situation is hardly reason enough to stay away this is an excellent place to work, eat, socialize, or just relax.
A great place to stop and have a cup of coffee or tea and check your e-mail. Great outdoor back deck, if your want some fresh air. Delicious snacks and bagels. They now have music and art openings. A nice place to spend Sunday morning reading the NY Times.
Hubby and I went here for a cup of coffee and a little something to eat. First, we were completely ignored by the lackadaisical wait staff. When we were finally granted their attention, they got the order wrong. They brought out o.j. which we hadn't ordered and the wrong food. When we FINALLY convinced them we had ordered coffee, we were served the dregs of the coffee pot. It was obvious we weren't wanted there (perhaps not enough piercing or tattoos? and so we obliged and left. We won't be back.
Staff are friendly, they have tofutti cream cheese and vegainase available to substitute on bagels and sandwiches, and non-dairy milks are available for drinks
Walk in the door, wait at least 5 minutes for the barista to acknowledge you. If they do, they're hardly friendly. I've tried going here countless times, but it's just not worth the price. The coffee was watered down, and the food tastes far from fresh. Most of the vegan options are processed, kept frozen, and poorly prepared. That's not to mention the poor fish swimming in cruddy, gross tanks. I feel so bad for them. The only good thing here is the free wifi, if you can get the password without the staff acting like you're inconveniencing them. Updated from previous review on 2017-01-18
