Wicker Basket - MENDHAM

I’ve been coming here since high school nothing beats a half half with a Taylor egg and cheese on a roll from here!

Great “old school” deli. I used to live in NYC most of my life before moving to Mendham. So I know how fast and consistent a good deli or coffee shop can operate. I never thought a small town shop could be faster than a popular NYC deli. But Wicker is actually faster. In the morning you can be in and out in 45 seconds. It’s incredible. And the people are nice. This spot is a classic for those of us who went to WMMHS half and half is a must as is the sloppy Joe sandwiches no one does them like wicker! Not cheap but for a local spot it 's super convenient and consistent! They are the best kind of club like sandwich with more layers than you even knew were possible. We love the turkey/ham/roast beef combo seriously give it a try!! Also love the fried chicken sandwich 's too!

I've been going to the Wicker Basket for over a decade and they still make the best breakfast sandwiches!

Previous long time residents of Brookside. Remembered the great Sloppy Joe sandwiches. Happened to be nearby, and purchased some Tuesday this week. Perfect service, awful sandwich. It was pre-made, not fresh, and probably at least a day old. Dried out rye bread, squishy texture. Never again.
