Bidra med feedbackWe were here last year and were very happy with our visit. We arrived shortly before 2:00 and the place was almost full, the outside and the queue slowly moved around the buffet style restaurant. You start with a hand washing dispenser... always a nice idea these days, pick up your tray etc. OR the Take Away container and start your selection. It's hard not to take anything from everyone, but before we turned the corner there was little space on our plates. Some of the foods are served hot, some not so, but this can be done with a zap in the microwaves... It's not my kind of choice. No place down, so we went upstairs. An absolutely tasty selection of vegetarian foods.. thought I was back in parts of India, except the absence of rice. Our meal with an Agua con gas was about $600 Arg Pesos.
First you can understand that this is a buffet style of Restuarant you pick up a tablet etc. and your selection .proceeded to cash and pay for weight. There is no table service. From the 2 on Colon this is offered to me the better, superior in the variety of dishes and certainly so in the restaurants themselves. At Govinda you can purchase other products such as teas and some Ayervedic products.
My wife and I were in Mendoza recently. We were looking for a vegetarian restaurant to take a break from the non vegetarian food we had eaten throughout Argentina. Govinda was an oasis!! The restaurant was bright and casual. The buffet restaurant offers many tasteful and unique vegetarian elements. The buffet spread was really lush and striking. The lady at the counter was very helpful to guide us through the buffet. The statements about each article were very helpful. We had a nice dinner cut off from some clean dessert elements!! We recommend Govinda to anyone looking for a vegetarian restaurant in Mendoza.
I sat with my wife and baby and wait about 10 minutes to help us. We finally went out. The two waiters saw us with poker face and one of them going to the table that we sat to clean it. We were discriminated because we went with a 7montus baby.
Waited 5+ minutes for the cashier to get to me. I considered putting my tray on the floor it took so long. Despite the expensive warming trays, the food is all cold and you have to use a cheap microwave to reheat it. That alone is worth a 2 star review but I believe I was also selectively scammed by the clerk, she charged me (and accepted) $315 for an average plate with juice, which should have cost around $150. I realized later and went back and she said with a smirk yeah well there 's nothing I can do about it now . Judging by the mixed reviews of prices I believe this place is selectively scamming tourists. Buyer beware I recommend avoiding at all costs
