Bidra med feedbackWe were staying nearby at the end of the season this September very pleased to have found this restaurant, lovely owners who made us very welcome, excellent pizza, nice local wines and super desserts. Very reasonably priced and looks a great place to come back and try in the summer with plenty of outside seating in this beautiful little Provencal town!
Food and service is great. Nice little spot with a shaded patio. The owner delivered our pizzas and his wife was our server. Definitely recommend.
While touring in Luberon, we found ourselves in Menerbes around lunch hour. We chose L’Escandihado honestly because of convenience as it was the first restaurant we came across after parking. That said, we were not expecting very much … but we’re we very surprised as to the quality of ingredients in both the salads the pizza. 2 of us had the salad Italiano. Super fresh lettuces, like they were just picked, with the most delicious sun-dried tomato, burrata, hard boiled eggs, jamon, a 10! My boyfriend had the La Reine pizza. Both the salads the pizza were very large and very delicious. We have been in France close to a month and he said it was the best pizza he has the entire time. It was covered in thinly sliced mushroom (on mandolin? . At first, it looked dry, but not at all. Delicious. Recommend for sure. Next time we are in that area it deserves a 2nd visit! Arrested on the road to a varnish in town. I ordered the margarita pizza and it was the worst I ever had any sign of mozzarella u cheese of tomatoes and especially no basil. all that was canned tomato paste, a mysterious cheese on the spice has exceeded any other flavor and if you ask me, this spice does not even work with pizza. the table next to me had 3 different pizzas, but according to what I could see, the same basic pizza I ordered was the basis of all the pizzas and they just added to the fillings. all the pizzas I saw were covered with Provence herbs. I wouldn’t go back. (avis d’origine) on the way to an art opening in the city. the margarita pizza ordered and it had to be the worst i ever had. no sign of mozzarella cheese or tomaten and certainly not a basilikum. all that it was tomato paste, a mysterious cheese top and it was covered in a tonne of herbs de provece spicy. the seasoned exaggerated any other taste and when they ask me that spice not even work with pizza. the table next to me had 3 different pizzas, but from what i could see the same basic pizza i ordered was the basic of all pizzas and they just added dropwise. all the pizzas i saw were crumbled. will not go back.
Pizzas are good, but the service is catastrophic, we took 4 pizzas to remove us and the person at the reception almost refused us order. There were 4 people in the restaurant a big table to come so she wouldn't know if the cook could make pizza. We told him we weren't in a hurry. She asked us what pizzas we took and said yeah, besides they're complicated pizzas. At that time, we still didn't know if we could order a pizza while the restaurant was open and little filled. She finally gave up and pizza was ready in 25 minutes. a deplorable and disappointing behavior, it is not possible to treat the clientele like that, it makes people flee. I don't know if we'll be back.
