Le Viù - Menthon-Saint-Bernard

We ate here for Christmas dinner. It was the best meal of our trip. My wife still talks about the scallops. I had a duck dish that was simply amazing. If we ever make it back to the lake annecy area, we will be eating at Le Viu.

The view over the lake is breath taking so get their early before sunset to appreciate the beauty. The food was good , well prepared, well presented and with a good range of choices. The wine list was comprehensive and the advice from the sommelier excellent. If possible order a window table to really enjoy the view

Nice little restaurant, dishes are worked and good. the view is sublime, the enchanting frame. the smiling and pleasant servers even if sometimes overwhelmed but overall the meal was at the top!!!

We asked for two hazelnuts and a glass of water. nothing complicated and we were served 10 minutes later 2 hazelnuts and pineapple juice. I make the remark and the server answers "it's good to keep it." I conclude it's offered. She comes back with my glass of water and asks me if I'm gonna drink the juice. Thinking it's offered, I'll tell him yes. at the end 5 euros on the note for pineapple juice, poor quality in addition! She didn't want to hear anything, and most of all, would not have apologized or confessed that she was not clear. not trying to make a scandal, especially after a great weekend in the hotel, I paid myself the note. Attention to yours! If you're at the hotel, take a coffee at the hotel, it'll be much better!

We stayed in the hotel (which I recommend)! So decided to eat at the viu in the evening. it was beautiful and so we were able to eat on the terrace with an absolutely exceptional view on the lake (and the sunset)!. the meal was delicious, healthy, light (when we took in-plat-dessert) and impeccable service, for a really reasonable price.
