Bidra med feedbackI've dined here quite a few times, and it truly lives up to its reputation. I can't recall ever having a bad meal. However, the service has consistently been lacking, which can happen anywhere. When you compare the food and service to any national chain, Georges always comes out ahead. While "good food" is an accurate description, I would also add that it offers great value and consistency.
We ordered a seafood platter and a scallop and clam dish to go on Friday night, and unfortunately, it was quite disappointing. The food was a mess—there was no coleslaw or tartar sauce, and the bread was left over from the scallops and clams, which was just not acceptable. Overall, it was the worst experience we've had there. This was the first time we'd had such poor food, and we drove all the way from Sandwich, NH for it.

My husband and I have traveled all over the U.S. and Canada, but our favorite little restaurant and diner remains George's in the lovely town of Meredith, New Hampshire.
We ordered a seafood platter and a scallop and clam dish for takeout on Friday night, and unfortunately, it was disappointing. The food was mushy, and there was no coleslaw or tartar sauce included. Additionally, the breading on the scallops and some of the clams was not right—it was the worst experience we've had. This was the first time we’ve encountered such poor quality food. We drove down from Sandwich, NH, expecting better.
