Tabula Calda Casa De Comidas - Mérida

We luckily stumbled onto this place while on a lunch break in Merida on the drive from Lisbon to Madrid. Outstanding food and atmosphere. Good service. My wife had a whole local fish and I had a sort of cod stew with onion and noodles which were both delicious. We were lucky to sit in the back courtyard partially open air which was beautiful. Had the freshest tomatoes and a few green peppers in oil as a free starter, which I think they said was from their garden (no English).

I'd give this place 11 stars our of 10 if i could. This place is a real hidden gem. Big portions of absolutely fantastic food. Delicious. Stylish. Excellent service. Home made wine. Medieval ambiance. Romantic. All to high standards. If you enjoy eating as much as I do, this is your place.

We really enjoyed the food which was freshly cooked and not over salted. The service was friendly. The decor was interesting. The “prix fixe” menu was varied and reasonably priced and the selection of local wines was good.

Hacía años que no comía tan bien en un restaurante. Productos Km 0 y cariño en la preparación son los ingredientes principales de esta casa, me recordó a comer en las navidades los platos de mi abuela... migas, sopas de ajo, delicias de cordero...LECHE FRITA!. QUE MARAVILLOSA ES LA GASTRONOMÍA ESPAÑOLA! Volveré sin ninguna duda.

Restaurante muy tranquilo bellamente decorado con una buena relación calidad-precio.
