R&r Bbq - Meridian

Really great food! Everything was hot and perfect. Sweet potato fries weren't the best, but the rest of the experience made up for it. The employees were really nice too. Definitely coming back!

UPDATE 2/15/22: My husband retried R&R that had catered for a work event. He said it definitely didn't get any better. Would not recommend. 1. The sign on the door states masks required, but the gal at the register never wore one. All the other staffwore them under their noses while prepping food.???? 2. Every. Single. Table. Was dirty. They all had numbers on them and theplace was empty. It wasn't until an employee brought our food that she started cleaning the tables and removing the numbers andplacing sanitized signs on them. WE WERE EATING AT A DIRTY TABLE. 3. Food was mediocre. The salad dressing was in a tub and itwas all separated. ???? The pork in the pork tacos was dry and looked like it had been reheated. The brisket was burnt ANDcold. We definitely try to give places a fair chance but I can't see us coming back. I rarely give poor reviews but 4 out of 4in our party were very unsatisfied with our meals. Hard pass.

If you're looking to up your sodium levels, this place is for you. The food looked appealing and was served promptly, but unfortunately, it was inedible. All we could taste was an overwhelming amount of salt, which left our tongues feeling raw. We tried the pulled pork sandwich, tacos, and queso with tortilla chips, but the only enjoyable item was their spicy BBQ sauce. On a positive note, the bathrooms were clean and well-maintained. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant and have no plans to return.

We won’t be returning to this restaurant. When we arrived at 6 p.m., I found myself playing a guessing game with the staff about which menu items were actually available. I was told, “I’m sorry we don’t have sausage,” “I’m sorry we’re out of kids' meals,” “I’m sorry we don’t have wings,” and “I’m sorry we don’t have smoked turkey.” (By the way, the kids' meals and wings were listed as unavailable on the menu board.) When I inquired about what they did have, I received a sarcastic comment indicating I should hurry because they were almost out of ribs. The food was served quickly, but it was very forgettable—definitely not worth my time or money.

We really enjoy visiting this restaurant. R&R offers barbecue that is far superior to any of the fast-food options in the area. My spouse and I shared the nachos and a two-meat plate, which provided us with more than enough food! The nachos were piled high and absolutely delicious, featuring wonderfully crispy chips that stayed crunchy—essential for great nachos! We also loved the two-meat plate. I highly recommend it!
