Xaga Sushi Asian Fusion - Merrick

So I very frequently order my sushi to go from this location. I live close in the area and sometimes I just want to take it to go. You cannot go wrong with the sushi here I am not a true lover of some of the other meals that they offer however, if your goal is to get some nice fresh raw sushi, this is definitely the place to go. My favorite are the spicy yellowtail sushi roll and I just add some scallions and poof, perfection! Service is always good, friendly, and timely. Since I never dine in I'm not sure what the ambiance is like but from the quick glances I've stolen it seems pretty nice.

Enjoyed a lovely dinner with friends last night. Food was very good as was the service. The restaurant was clean and welcoming. My friend also had the shrimp dumpling soup which she said was delicious. Parking is ample.

I came here on a Friday night with my husband, mum, and baby, it wasn't super busy, but there was a small crowd on the first floor. First thing I noticed is that this place is NOT stroller/wheelchair friendly to get into the restaurant there are steps, to get to the bathroom, there are steps, and the tables are quite close together so any strollers or wheelchairs would be in the way. The food, however, was just delish! We ordered the hot and sour soup (I don't recommend this) to start, along with the spicy Naruto cucumber roll, which was absolutely fantastic! So great for anyone looking for a low carb option. For mains, we ordered Thai curry, the double delight, and shrimp fried rice. The double delight was absolutely phenomenal! The fish was cooked perfectly, and so was the shrimp the sauce was sweet with a very small kick, and complimented the dish so so well! The fried rice was my fave they truly put magic in this, it was so simple but soooo delicious!!!!! The Thai curry was so so, admittedly it wasn't much of a Thai curry, it tasted more like they used a curry powder instead of a traditional Thai curry paste. Still not terrible though! Overall ok experience, but the food was great, so I'd certainly order from here again, but most likely to enjoy at home as opposed to coming in person!

The food and the staff are great. I highly recommend Xaga. I absolutely love the chicken lettuce wraps.

Got sick twice from this place and my boyfriend got sick from it this past weekend. If you want food poisoning, parasites or worse eat sushi at this place.
