Pepe's Mexican - Merrillville

Many locations in the area have closed down, and unfortunately, the food here wasn't very good. I don't plan to return.

Oh my goodness... this was by far the worst experience I've ever had! The food was absolutely not worth it. While I’m not ruling out visiting Pepes again, I definitely won't be returning to this location. The food was terrible. The meat tasted old, and the rice had a really off smell—so much so that I didn't even eat it. The beans were bland and watery. It was just awful. Never again. However, I will say that the sweet little old lady was a nice touch!

My refried beans were too watery and lacked flavor. I ordered the burrito dinner, but I won’t be getting that again as it tasted very bland. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy my meal.

This is not the same Pepes I grew up with, food has gone way down hill and the restaurant was filthy. I will not be returning.

If I could give it no star I would. That place was nasty. Flies all over and the service sucked.
