Smokin Glaze Barbecue - Merrillville

My first time at this place... I drove over from Chicago and I had a taste for some bbq... I had turkey tips and briskets... The seasoning on the tips was overwhelming, the brisket were over cooked ... The service was good being that I was the only customer there, but they get the benefit of the doubt... The seasoning, I'm guessing was some type of Cajun seasoning, it ruined the meat, it gave it a twinge taste, just salt and pepper would work nothing fancy...

Worse BBQ I’ve had in a while ! I ordered the tip n link combo …. Tips were dried out and cut thin as paper ! And the hot link ! Was cut open and disgusting! I spit it out ! The sauce taste like paprika or cayenne pepper and ketchup , mac and cheese was edible, beans were nasty due to having that peppery taste like the sauce , and the potato salad was honestly the best thing despite the potatoes being hard still

Did not enjoy this food at all. Husband got a large tip and a small link. I ordered a large link. Tips was just ok and cut paper thin. Fries were like half done. Links are gross. Butterfly sausages and their sauce taste more like ketchup than bbq sauce. Majorly disappointed.

I forgot to take a picture but I had the brisket with baked beans and turkey tips with a side of potato salad they were delicious. I also had great conversation with the owner. I am Chicago Native finding a great BBQ has been a challenge. This is definitely a winner.
