Nant Ddu Lodge - Merthyr Tydfil

What a lovely hotel where everything is done professionally. The staff are wonderful. The massage, the relaxing pool with jacuzzi and steam room/sauna. The food is perfect. This was our second stay and we will definitely be back soon.

Had a lovely one night stay here , staff are so friendly and helpful, we had use of pool , sauna steam room and jacuzzi which was nice , also had our evening meal at the bistro and food was lovely really enjoyed also breakfast was served and was also lovely . Would definitely stay here again .

The food was delicious, however, the dining area was uncomfortably cold. When my husband requested to close the door, the waitress provided a vague excuse as to why she couldn't accommodate us. Her lack of assistance left me no choice but to leave most of my meal behind as I am currently recovering from lung cancer and the cold air was aggravating my condition. Disappointing service overall.

An underwhelming experience. The bistro lacks atmosphere, furnishings a worn and it could do with a makeover. Evening menu was limited and main courses were over priced for the quality. We got new potatoes that were hards and undercooked. Deserts were great. Overall disappointing wouldn’t return or recommend to others.

We visited the Nant Ddu Bistro restaurant on 29th. May 2023 for the first time since lockdown. We like this particular place because of it’s beautiful setting and pleasant atmosphere. The staff were efficient and pleasant and the food was ok but nothing spectacular for the price charged. The negative part of my review is that the prices on the online menu for the Nant Ddu are cheaper than the actual prices now being charged. This is very misleading and needs updating. I did mention it to the young man taking the payment. The prawn cocktail starter was £8 and not £7: The sirloin steak was £29.00 and not £26.00. And the Pork loin was £20.00 and not £18.00. This particular meal was therefore £6.00 more expensive than we thought it would be. I checked online again the day after and as yet it has not been updated! Thought the food was rather overpriced to be honest.
