Sonic Drive-In - Mesa

I used to love Sonic. But the past two times I stopped by this particular location. They failed me. 1st I ordered chili cheese fries. I asked for a large and I got it that way. But these guys decided to fill the bottom of the container and nothing more. Felt like I got the last 15 fries on earth covered in cheese and meat. I was disappointed but not enough to complain then. Then tonight my wife ordered the popcorn chicken. Oh man, what can I say. You can see how small the chicken pieces are. But that?s not the full story. Most of the pieces have no meat. Not to mention how rock hard they were.

Overall very nice place, love using their app to get discounts. Service is always very good. The only reason I docked a star is due to the drive in stalls. A few are hard to hear and others you have to shout your order, not very fun. But other than that, no complaints!

Their portions are very small it takes more than 15 min for ONE drink to be ready after you order ?ASAP? on their app. I walk 7 minutes from home to here and still have to wait, ridiculous.

The food is always pretty consistent, and the parking lot was fairly clean of debris. I ordered at the tables instead of a car, and was still greeted with the same service speed. My only tiny gripe is that I ordered dipping sauces specifically and asked when the food was brought out. I was told everything was inside of the chicken tender dinner box. So after walking all the way home 4 long city blocks, the sauces were not there. Partly my fault for not physically checking for them, but I wish I wasn't told something that wasn't the case. No restrooms, and no larger enough ramp for a very large motorized wheelchair to get to table but regular chairs can make it ok.

Food took forever came out dry but the service was awesome and the kid was super nice so I like the kid food sucked though and it's okay maybe next time it'll be better.
