Bidra med feedbackThis cafe is a beautiful little spot that is a great example of community, and what fostering it can do. Delicious beverages, and atmosphere is cool. The cats are happy, and seem pretty stress free while they wait for their human to find them. The owners are genuinely kind, hard working folks who care. Please support this absolute gem gifted to Raleigh.

Purr Cup Cafe offers a unique and heartwarming experience for cat lovers. This cat cafe not only serves delicious coffee and treats but also provides a home for rescue cats. It's a wonderful place to relax, enjoy the company of feline friends, and maybe even find a new furry family member.
Not sure what happened to the cat cafe concept here... I just wanted to sit and have a nice foamy cappuccino while friendly cats came up to me for pets and playtime. At Purr Cup, you cannot sit anywhere, and you cannot access the cat room without a reservation. Only six people fit in the cat room, so the best you can do while waiting for bad, overpriced coffee (plant-based milk only!? is awkwardly try to glimpse the felines through a glass window, though you 're more likely to see people who booked the suggested *WEEK* in advance crawling around on the floor with feather teasers. While all of that is annoying, my biggest issue with this place is that if I was a cat here, I would not want to be trapped in a tiny room while six people came and cornered me for an hour at a time; I would want to wander over to people when I was ready and felt comfortable, and to rest and relax when I was tired or over-stimulated. My suggestion for Purr Cup would be to return to the traditional cat cafe concept: open up the space by knocking down walls, provide actual seating, provide actual milk options (the oat milk cappuccino was undrinkable , and nix the weird reservation system. This would allow the cats to direct the interactions, which is what feline lovers visiting a cat cafe want to see.
My husband kept it super short in his review, but probably didn 't provide enough information to help others. I am not a huge reviewer, but geesh...this was a super disappointing experience.I read all the fantastic reviews so we skipped going to a real coffee shop because we drove past this place and my son was like, Coffee? and Cats?!! We should go .First...can 't see cats because they had a party. Second...no milk because it 's all vegan. Third...no place to sit to wait for the coffee (or to enjoy it afterwards if we had...enjoyed it). Fourth...the barista kept stopping the coffee making process to talk members of the party that was there about things that were not related to their orders or service...so prolonging our standing there waiting and it was clear she couldn 't work and talk. We ordered espresso to go with the flow since we don 't eat or drink processed sugars and plant based milks are full of processed sugars. Their espresso machine is calibrated wrong. It was really, really sour espresso. $20 for 4 coffees (2 of them just espressos) and 3 of us didn 't drink our coffee.Overall, it was a huge waste of time and not at all what I thought of for a cat cafe. Maybe they all suck? But I thought the point was coffee and cats...
