Seagate Crabhouse Sushi

Ok, so this location has been a few things over the years. Believe I've had Chinese food at one time here. At any rate, someone said I should give this choice a try. I came in expecting an ok meal and was happily surprised. Really, the only drawback was the service, which I felt was really slow for lunch time with very low crowd. However, the food will bring me back for another try. I tried the crab broil, couple different sushi rolls, calamari and fried oysters. Yes, I left stuffed and satisfied.

Love this place. My grandson found Seagate while we were heading to an appointment in Raleigh. I had the catfish plate with fried sweet potatoes and hush puppies. My grandson had sushi. Prices are very reasonable. Our waitress was so sweet and knowledgeable. I recommend you try this place.

We went here to celebrate my sons birthday. We ordered a seafood boil and extra stuff. The service wasn’t the best. I got my check a few minutes after we got our food. I ordered a side of sweet potato fries for my infant daughter. She wasn’t a fan of the fries and wouldn’t touch them. They came with sugar and cinnamon even though I told the waitress to not add them. I asked for it to sweet potato fries to be taken off because they weren’t eaten. The manager was rude. She told me it was me who ordered them and I should be paying for them because the restaurant would take a loss. The manager seen that they were untouched. We won’t be coming back. Our drinks weren’t refilled despite the waitress seeing both my glass and sons empty. The seafood boil was pretty good. Service was awful. My son was excited to celebrate his birthday and was promised dessert. My son didn’t receive anything. Our ticket was close to $100. Very disappointed.

When we arrived we were the only people there with three servers. We waited 10 minutes to be spoken to after being seated.The server couldn't answer our questions about items on the menu and didn't bother to find out the answers.Two other people were seated after she left us to decide. They were served immediately. Our server got them their drinks and took their orders. Apparently they had been there before. We were getting ready to leave when she came and asked if we had made up our minds.I ordered sushi and my husband ordered fried oysters with coleslaw. They didn't have cold slaw so he ordered onion rings.When we recieived our order. There were two small onion rings a pile of hush puppies and a few fried oysters, all way over cooked. The sushi tasted a little old and fairly small pieces.I can well understand why they had almost no business on a Sunday right after church. We won't be returning.Wheelchair accessibility: I wasn't able to use my scooter. A wheelchair might be able to make it over the lip if someone is pushing it.

I want to be clear about one thing, in response to another review. Their sushi is FROZEN and is NOT fresh. I have given up on finding fresh sushi in NC. It is just not a thing, here.We arrived after they had been open for 1.5 hours and were told that we were the first customers, even though Google Maps showed that they were busier than usual . Don 't know why, because there were no other customers, if you don 't count the sketchy guy hanging out in a beater car by the front door.It all just seemed weird.The waitress wouldn 't talk to my wife and couldn 't answer questions about items on the menu. And she changed her clothes after taking our order!With all of the positive reviews, I was surprised to get overcooked fried food, especially considering the prices.I was starting to feel like we were in some sort of police drama where we arrived just as the place was being robbed.The restaurant and restroom looked clean, but there were no paper towels in the Men 's room.Overall, I just don 't think it is worthwhile to return to this place.I can get better quality fried stuff at Mayflower and cheaper.The sushi dishes here come with no sides none. At other restaurants, a comparable dish would come with soup or salad at the same price or less. Of course, they would also have had hot green tea not here. I can accept that this is not a sushi restaurant.
