The building, originally intended as a hotel, was built in an eclectic-neo-renaissance style and is listed. The Mezőhegyes State Stud Farm was built in 1885, the year of its 100th anniversary. Its architectural significance is that it is the country's only remaining timber-framed (fachwerkes) building. The restaurant can accommodate 200 people and the function room upstairs can accommodate 60 people and can also hold events. Student and tourist groups can stay in his guest house.
