Juniata Junction - Mifflintown

At first, we were unsure when we arrived, but the place was clean and the food turned out to be quite delicious. We all opted for the more comforting, home-style meals—turkey and waffles, hot turkey sandwiches, and hot roast beef, among others. Everyone agreed that the dishes had a genuine home-cooked taste. If we're ever passing through again, we would definitely eat here again.

Update: We returned with a large family group, having visited several times before and loved the food. We called ahead to confirm whether they could accommodate us, and they assured us over the phone that they could push tables together for us. However, upon our arrival, they refused to seat us together, claiming they couldn't serve from a long table with a tray (which they never actually used). Instead, we were placed at tables back to back, making it impossible to serve us collectively. Our orders were taken separately at each table, leading to our meals arriving at different times. Our group spanned multiple generations, and we had traveled from far away to enjoy breakfast together at a convenient location before parting ways. It was a major letdown. We won't be returning.

This was our first visit, and we stopped in for breakfast. My wife really enjoyed her meal, but unfortunately, I can't say the same for mine. However, we're planning to return sometime for dinner. The staff were friendly and efficient, and our food arrived hot. They also have a large dessert selection, most of which is homemade.

I had a wonderful experience at the restaurant. The atmosphere was peaceful and quiet, which I really appreciated. The food was fantastic — I tried the "Triple Bypass" burger, and it was both delicious and filling. My wife also enjoyed her meal, and we even took home some leftovers!

Nice atmosphere, simple but delicious food. The chicken noodle soup is homemade and tastes like chicken pot pie without the crust. So good!
