Bidra med feedbackWe sumbled upon this restaurant walking around the area of our hotel. It looked cozy and the proprietor was very welcoming even though he only spoke italian. Not a problem with some basic language skills and gesticulations. We first ordered a chacuterie-tray with delicious hams and salamis, plus an assortment of cheeses. We let the proprietor chose the wine, and it was delicious. For mains my fiancee chose on random and got a very nice carpaccio-plate. I ordered the osso bucco, which was really delicious. The meny is in italian, but you can understand the basics if you've ever eaten at an italian restaurant before. The big mystery is where the kitchen was, because the owner just kind of disappered behind a door that I think went upstairs ? and then came back with the food in a minute. Maybe a house elf makes the food? Either way it was amazing, and also with the mains he chose the wine. Again, a very good wine. All in all a very nice meal, and good atmosphere. We missed the live jazzmusic they sometimes have, but it was still a nice experience. Go if in the area!
Excellent jazz music in really small restaurant. You can taste local and foreign wines and cheeses. The owner is personally 18 years presented these great concept.
I was randomly browsing the internet for a good place to have dinner by myself, the name of this place made me curious since I was born (almost) in Friuli (North-East in Italy) and I gave it a shot! Never been happier to find something! The restaurant is very small and cozy in downtown Milan, very close to Castello Sforzesco and Arco della Pace. The food is excellent and the host is a character! I let him suggest the wine for my dinner and I did not regret it. He told me the story behind the name of the place and I had a wonderful evening in a very familiar environment. I go there every time I am in Milan now. They also host live music in the fall season.
